Christian education is a life-long process. We start with our infants and toddlers as they go to church with their parents and siblings, say a prayer before meals and at bedtime, and go to the communion rail. At St. Christopher’s we offer age appropriate “classes” for everyone.
Infants and Toddlers gather with adults during the first part of the Sunday services at 10 am. They have a well-appointed room on our lower level with plenty of playthings and activities. They rejoin their families for the final part of our worship which includes the Christian family meal of Holy Communion.
Grades 1-6 meet for classes and activities at 10 o’clock on Sunday mornings and also join their families for Communion. They participate in the offering by helping to bring bread, wine, and food for the poor to the altar for a blessing.
Youth in grades 7-12 gather at 9:30 on Sunday mornings and also participate in youth group activities and service projects at other times. They can also serve as acolytes and readers of scripture in our worship.
Adult Courses and Bible Studies are offered at the Adult Forum time on Sunday mornings from 9-9:45.
From September 15 through November 10 we will be reflecting on The Way of Love: Practices for Jesus-Centered Life.
Other education, camping, and study programs are offered by the Diocese of Southern Ohio which are attended by people from St. Christopher’s.
